A Look At The National 2008

Grand National Tips 2008

Grand National Tips are very useful as the Grand National is quickly approaching this year, everyone with an interest is closely monitoring the field of horses, trainers and jockeys. This year, as in most years, we find an extremely competitive field of horses. Anyone who has followed the news will note that a mix of various jockeys and horses are taking shape that should provide punters some insight as the potential winners. The following racing tips and betting tips will provide you with highlights regarding the leading contenders, as well as some interesting outsiders who promise to make the Grand National a very interesting race with some real potential for making some great profit.

Cloudy Lane

Cloudy Lane is known for heading the pack after having three huge victories over this past horse racing season. At 10st 11lbs, Cloudy Lane comes in under the critical 11st mark. Given that fact, in addition to those three large wins. Keep an eye on Cloudy Lane to place well, if not become an overall winner, in The National. Cloudy is currently at 6/1.

Comply Or Die

Comply or Die is known for stamina. In a race such as the Grand National, stamina can be key. Comply or Die’s stamina was obvious in his win in the over four miles at Newcastle. With an impressive record in the important races of the past season and essentially matching form with Cloudy lane at double the price, Comply has excellent odds and at greater value. Comply Or Die is at 12/1 for the Grand National.

Simon

Simon has an excellent record up to falling late in the 2007 Grand National, and he is carrying only a little too much weight to win the race overall, but given his recent history, Simon looks to be a good bet in the field in the Grand National. Simon is at 14/1.

Baily Breeze

Baily Breeze is one of those bets that could make a punter some excellent profit at some big odds. At 66/1, Baily Breeze is an Irish raider from the Mouse Morris stable who may very well provide some punters with an unexpected and very profitable surprise at the Grand National.

Longshanks

Longshanks is an older horse at 11 years; however he has a 100% completion record at The National, which means the odds are good enough that he’ll place. At 50/1, there’s some real money to be made in the case where such a major surprise might become a reality. But if any horse has a chance to pull off such odds, Longshanks is the one.

As always, horse racing tips for today are only as good as the punters who accept them.
